When I originally began to envision a quintessential “Day Pack”, this pack is what came to mind. Just the right size for a full day in the woods, with an overnight not outside the realm of possibilities. This pack is slightly smaller than the Philosopher at approximately 15 liters, however more can be stuffed in if you don’t mind the main flap doing it’s best to reach with the last strap hole. Consider this the all-around, one pack to use for day trips, buggouts, daily use, or easy overnights that calm the soul.
These packs are hand-made one at a time. Current lead-time is approximately 3 to 5 weeks for production.
DESIGN- The time tested flap-top design wicks weather and keeps your gear safe and secure, and provides for a multitude of packing options to accommodate an array of various knickknacks and generally lovely outdoor accoutrements.

COLORS - Available in choice of Sapwood-Tan or Evergreen.
SIDES- Side mounted D-Rings with laced cordage act as a compression synch, but also allow for a multitude of attachments as needed, and doubled loops secure longer items like axes and hatchets, fishing rods, arrows, etc. A 5” pocket at the base is a great place to clip knives, or acts as a more secure base for any longer items that you’d rather not have slide around.
POCKETS - Like the Philosopher pack, the slim spine pocket is a great place for slimmer items like tablets, but is also perfect for sitting pads, folded ground cloths, maps or atlases, or even a hydration bladder. On the outside of the pack is a small pocket for quick-access items that doubles as an Axe/hatchet/shovel strap.
INTERNALS - The main compartment of the pack is cotton ticking lined, and open and spacious, making it easy to find what you're looking for quickly. Loops from the outside of the pack are continued through the inside to provide for additional slots and tie-spots should you wish to keep a particular item in its assigned place.
ATTACHMENTS - Double strap loops are attached to the bottom and top of the pack to tie on bedrolls, tarps, etc. as-needed.
MATERIALS - The bag is constructed of 10oz Army Duck canvas with a water-repellent treatment that is not sticky or tacky. Leather is vegetable-tanned horsehide left raw for you to finish with your favorite leather treatment, or to let patina naturally. Hardware is antiqued-brass finished, and the straps are heavy-duty 1.5" cotton webbing.
